SUAVECITO - LIGHT ROAST

Suavecito, meaning "Little Smooth One," is a light roast that lives up to its name by offering a mellow and gentle coffee experience. This blend showcases the delicate flavors of high-altitude Latin American beans, presenting tasting notes of honeyed sweetness, soft citrus, and a hint of jasmine. The light body and crisp finish make Suavecito an excellent option for those who prefer a subtle and easy-drinking cup.
COFFEE ROAST

PAIRS WELL WITH WHAT?

True to its name, Suavecito’s mellow and gentle flavor pairs well with naturally sweet and nutty treats. The luscious earthiness of fresh figs enhances its delicate floral notes, banana bread’s soft, spiced sweetness brings out its honey-like smoothness, and pralines add a crunchy caramelized element, creating a satisfying mix of texture and flavor.

TIPS FROM OUR BREWMASTER

Step 1 - Use a Finer Grind
Light roast beans are denser and have less surface area compared to darker roasts, so they require a finer grind for proper extraction. A finer grind allows for more surface contact with water, helping to extract the coffee's unique, nuanced flavors.
Step 2 - Brew at a Higher Temperature
To bring out the bright and nuanced flavors of light roast, brew at a slightly higher temperature of 200°F to 205°F (93°C to 96°C). This will help extract the delicate fruity, floral, and acidic notes without under-extracting or leaving a sour taste.
Step 3 - Adjust the Coffee-to-Water Ratio
Start with a 1:15 to 1:17 coffee-to-water ratio (e.g., 15 grams of coffee for every 240 ml of water). This will bring out the balanced, smooth profile of medium roast coffee while providing the right strength and body. Adjust to personal taste for your perfect cup.
Drip Coffee: Medium grind (granulated sugar)
Pour-Over:Medium-coarse grind (slightly coarser than table salt)

French Press:Coarse grind (sea salt)

Behind the bag artist:
ELLIOT TUPAC (PERU)

Website
A Peruvian graphic artist and printmaker who channels his passion for screen printing, calligraphy, and lettering into creating pop art and marketing tools. His style–characterized by spontaneity and color–makes his work stand out; Elliot has redefined both a traditional art form and what it means to be a lettering artist in his native Peru. Elliot began experimenting with letters in his dad’s screen printing workshop. While it only had limited equipment, this was the place where Elliot witnessed the creation of a great number of music posters over the 80s and 90s. It was also where Elliot learned the techniques involved in creating the chica poster–an iconic form of Peruvian folk art that was born of necessity and requires minimal resources. It was through these experiences that he learned all about the poster scene.

This place has FANTASTIC coffee. They brew their own coffee blends sourced from all Latin American countries. I believe they have 6 different blends. And wow— smooth and flavorful with great taste. It doesn’t taste burnt like Starbucks, yet it has rich flavor and is not watery like some other coffee companies. My favorite blend is Suavecito. It’s perfection! A+, I will never buy another brand again.

LOVE this cute cafe! Such a cute place to have coffee & a good breakfast! Indoors or outdoors it’s a great place to relax. Pretty plants inside too making it seem more homey! My only complaint would be they need bigger cup sizes!

My grandparents and I come here almost every week, we love the vibes. The staff is super friendly and patient. They accommodate my nut allergy which is amazing, most places don't bother to try.
