OUR COLLAB

For our light roast, Suavecito, La Morena created a one-of-a-kind Dia Cafe art piece to be auctioned off with proceeds donated to the charity of her choice in 2025.  Closely translated to "nice and easy," Suavecito is a tasty blend grown at high elevations in rich soil. As a champion for Latino and American-Indian causes in Phoenix,  she is the perfect champion to show how you can be rich in tradition and background while being light and full of flavor.

As La Morena continues to push boundaries and break barriers, she remains deeply connected to her roots, using her art as a form of healing and empowerment for communities worldwide. With Dia Cafe, La Morena shares her deep love of coffee and blends it with her deeply rooted art.

Q/A WITH “LA MORENA”

  1. What inspires you?I get to tell stories of real people. Everyone has their unique stories, but when you paint portraits I get to learn about them and who they are. In that process, you make a connection and in turn, they learn about you. It's very gratifying.
  2. What advice do you have for up-and-coming artists trying to make it?Be your authentic self and tell your story through art because you never know when the story you tell will inspire others in your community, give them hope to continue through a struggle and shine a light that exposes new beauty.

  3. What are you most proud about? When the NFL asked me to be the Super Bowl Marquee Artist for Phoenix, Arizona! The whole story is a beautiful journey and I'm very proud to represent Native and Latina-American people.
  4. How does Dia fuel your day?I love coffee and Dia a story about Latin-American culture authentically through bold flavors, colorful art, and great messaging. It's a daily reminder of how passion got me to this point in my life and how important it is to fuel it. What's more inspiring than a good story, right?
